Ridley Scott‘s epic upcoming sci-fi return ‘Prometheus’ has a new international trailer. However, it looks pretty much like the original trailer, not new footage, but still cool editing and some minor changes to the pacing.
Here is the trailer embedded below:
The movie is one of my most anticipated movies of the year, it looks great and we will finally see what Ridley Scott is capable of in a new format (just like Martin Scorsese with ‘Hugo’).
Prometheus stars Noomi Rapace, Michael Fassbender, Charlize Theron, Sean Harris, Idris Elba, Kate Dickie, Logan Marshall-Gree, Rafe Spall, Patrick Wilson and Guy Pearce.
It is set for release this June 8th, 2012.

Tim Burton‘s produced ‘Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter‘ just got its first teaser trailer released.
The movie, directed by Timur Bekmambetov (Wanted), is an adaptation of best-selling novel by Seth Grahame-Smith (who also did the screenplay). It tells a fictional story about the president’s vendetta against Vampires, that’s right. Lincoln hunts vampires. This is not a bio-pic, so don’t worry about inadequacies. The main character is played by Benjamin Walker. Here is the teaser trailer below
The movie looks like a lot of fun, and I quite liked 2008′s Wanted, it was so over the top that it was funny.
Here’s the official movie plot:
The film explores the secret life of our greatest president, and the untold history that shaped our nation. As a young boy, Abraham Lincoln (Benjamin Walker) witnesses the shocking death of his mother, leading him on a path to an ongoing war – and ultimately to the presidency – he chronicles in a hidden diary. The journal reveals the incredible story of a clandestine warrior who never stopped fighting for the country he led and the people he loved.
The movie is going to be released on June 22nd, and I can’t wait to see it.
The long awaited sci-fi comeback of Ridley Scott is being introduced at the public of Comic-Con right now. Apparently they are showing some footage there, but for now we’ll have to conform ourselves with this new picture released by 20th Century Fox.
This movie is pretty interesting since it was meant to be a prequel to the Alien franchise. At first, it was going to be directed by Carl Erik Rinsch and produced by Ridley Scott and his brother Tony. But Fox pressured Ridley Scott to direct it, so he did.
Eventually through pre-production, the team decided that the mythology evolved into something so different that they downplayed the prequel thing.
At Comic-con, Ridley Scott appeared via satellite from Iceland and said these things about the movie:
3D has been a wonderful exercise but I was brought up as a camera operator so its really about lensing and all that kind of stuff. So with the help I’ve had from a wonderful cameraman and his technical team its been, for me, a pretty straight forward ride. That said I’ll never work without 3D again, even for small dialogue scenes. I love the whole process. 3D opens up the universe of even a small dialogue scene so I’ve been very impressed with that.
Scott has already mentioned before that 3D was looking fantastic after seeing the first footage of the then in production James Cameron’s Avatar. It’s reassuring that he loved working on this new format.
Prometheus cast includes Noomi Rapace as Elizabeth Shaw, Charlize Theron, Idris Elba, Michael Fassbender as David, an android, Guy Pearce, Ben Foster, Kate Dickie, Logan Marshall-Green as Holloway, Elizabeth’s love interest and Sean Harris.
It is set to be released on June 8, 2012.
Oh boy, that came out from nowhere!
Looks like 20th Century Fox just won a bidding for the film rights of the novel “Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter” written by Seth Grahame-Smith (he also penned the screenplay).
Tim Burton will produce the film and Timur Bekmambetov (Wanted, Night Watch) is directing.
This movie will be filmed in 3D for a 2012 release. I embedded the promo trailer of the book so you can get an idea about what is it about: (WARNING: blood)
Bizarre project, that’s for sure…
