Brave poster

Disney just released a new poster from the upcoming Pixar’s Brave.

There’s also a new trailer, but in reality it’s nothing more than an extended clip from the film. It looks very good though.
Here’s the plot of the movie, for those who are unfamiliar with it:

Since ancient times, stories of epic battles and mystical legends have been passed through the generations across the rugged and mysterious Highlands of Scotland. In “Brave,” a new tale joins the lore when the courageous Merida (voice of Kelly Macdonald) confronts tradition, destiny and the fiercest of beasts. Merida is a skilled archer and impetuous daughter of King Fergus (voice of Billy Connolly) and Queen Elinor (voice of Emma Thompson). Determined to carve her own path in life, Merida defies an age-old custom sacred to the uproarious lords of the land: massive Lord MacGuffin (voice of Kevin McKidd), surly Lord Macintosh (voice of Craig Ferguson) and cantankerous Lord Dingwall (voice of Robbie Coltrane). Merida’s actions inadvertently unleash chaos and fury in the kingdom, and when she turns to an eccentric old Wise Woman (voice of Julie Walters) for help, she is granted an ill-fated wish. The ensuing peril forces Merida to discover the meaning of true bravery in order to undo a beastly curse before it’s too late.

The film is directed by Mark Andrews and Brenda Chapman, with the voice talents of Kelly MacDonald, Emma Thompson, Billy Connolly, Kevin McKidd, Julie Walters, Robbie Coltrane and Craig Ferguson.

It is set for release this June 22.

Prometheus international trailer

Ridley Scott‘s epic upcoming sci-fi return ‘Prometheus’ has a new international trailer. However, it looks pretty much like the original trailer, not new footage, but still cool editing and some minor changes to the pacing.

Here is the trailer embedded below:

The movie is one of my most anticipated movies of the year, it looks great and we will finally see what Ridley Scott is capable of in a new format (just like Martin Scorsese with ‘Hugo’).

Prometheus stars Noomi Rapace, Michael Fassbender, Charlize Theron, Sean Harris, Idris Elba, Kate DickieLogan Marshall-Gree, Rafe Spall, Patrick Wilson and Guy Pearce.

It is set for release this June 8th, 2012.

Andrew Garfield as The Amazing Spider-Man

So here it is, the highly anticipated Spider-man reboot properly named “The Amazing Spider-man”.
This entry to the famous Marvel Comics franchise is directed by Marc Webb, director of (500) Days of Summer, starring Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker/Spider-man and Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy among others.
A teaser trailer was already featured on this blog but it didn’t gave a proper look at Spidey in action, this one does, and very well if I may say.

Without further due , I’ve embedded the trailer below, so you can enjoy it for yourself:

So there you have. The movie was shot with the new RED Epic camera, which means that it will look spectacular on IMAX 3D.

The movie will be released this July 3rd .

Top gun Tony Scott

THR reported that Paramount is preparing a 3D conversion of Tony Scott’s 1986 film Top Gun.

Legend3D is the company doing the conversion, who has already converted high profiled movies before, such as Transformers: Dark of the Moon, The Smurfs among others

Here’s what Legend3D’s CEO Rob Hummel has to say about the upcoming release:

“As I understand it, they are planning to release it in 3D in early 2012, though I known they want to get Tony Scott’s approval before they go forward”

And about the 3D benefits for this project:

I think Top Gun lends itself to 3D due to the aerial flight. You can have fun with 3D by bringing things off the screen if they are not attached to the edge of the screen."

Will wait for more news regarding this conversion early next year. Stay tuned.

Pixar Brave

Not much is known story-wise about the upcoming Pixar-Disney production entitled ‘Brave’. We got our first look of this movie some months ago with a teaser that was attached to Cars 2 and a poster.

But now, thanks to PixarPlanet.com, we can finally see what the story is all about:
